Vehicle Crossings (VX)

Vehicle Crossings (VX)

You may be looking to add or alter a dropped kerb (VX) on your property. You will need to obtain the relevant consent from your local authorities Highways Department, or in some instances from your County Council Highways Department.

You may also require planning permission for the dropped kerb if:

  • The property is a flat, maisonette, a house of multiple occupation or a business
  • The property is on a classified road
  • It forms part of a large development that requires planning permission
  • The property is in a conservation area
  • The property is in an ‘Article 4 Direction Area’
  • The property is a listed building
  • The property has a boundary wall over 1 metre high which is proposed to be altered
  • The property has a tree protected by a Tree Preservation Order that is to be removed.

Our services would include:

  • A measured survey of the front driveway & pedestrian crossing in front
  • Existing & Proposed drawings for the dropped kerb
  • Preparation, submission and handling of the Planning Application and/or the Vehicle Crossing Application
